Safety Training
GCSC offers industrial safety education courses that meet a variety of needs, including compliance with regulations administered by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in subparts 1910 and 1926. The courses are offered to GCSC Members and non-Members during daily training sessions conducted at one of our training facilities. Arrangements can also be made for on-site (remote) training presented to large groups. All courses are either instructor led, or designed for individual interaction through Computer Based Training sessions (CBT). Training courses offered by GCSC are continuously being updated to maintain current industry standards.

In 1997, GCSC joined with 14 other councils across the U.S. to take part in the Association of Reciprocal Safety Councils (ARSC). Because of "reciprocity", or industry's use of other council's equivalent training, the overall cost of safety training has been lowered by 15% in the petrochemical industry alone. ARSC provides a method to facilitate consistent and current applicable government rules and regulations, along with good industry work practices. The development of the Basic Orientation Plus® and Basic Orientation Plus Refresher® programs, through ARSC, sets the standard by which all basic safety orientations can be measured.

GCSC conducts training in the following areas: General Topics, Site-Specific, Company-Specific, Unit-Specific, Offshore, and DOT Operator Qualification. Click the button below to view our entire list of available courses.
